The Art of Selling Out
Today I recommend going and reading all of my fellow horror writer’s, Wrath James White, blog, Selling Watermelon: Ode to Marquis Styles. Don’t get me wrong, Marquis Styles has not seen print yet, but Marquis is submitting urban romance projects. Marquis may also gain a sister, to be named later, who will be writing paranormal romances.

I just read Wrath's post. It was good. (See - you do have friends who are prepared to be critical - only you only let them get away with it in print if they are male? & the Blogging in Black post seems for some reason to be delinked.) So the "Marquis Styles" novel/series will *never* see the light of day? Kinda sad: though I can see why you'd prefer to be known for "Breton Court". (But if a publisher had offered a contract for the other thing?) Yeah I'm not sure about the pseudonym either: it does sound a bit "contrived" though I'm sure I've heard faker romance pseudonyms. Now I prefer "Busta Rhymes" myself - though the hip-hop world's already taken that one! Personally I think I'd rather like to read a "hip-hop" style novel; particularly if I could grab it off the library shelf! We don't tend to get them over here! I enjoy rap and hip -hop music; certainly not for any misogynistic lyrics but for the energy - who doesn't?!
